I was also confused on that part but I fi...Hi Anne,<br />I was also confused on that part but I figured it out...you knit til 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 stitches take your working yarn and bring it in between your two needles then turn and continue knitting til the end of the row. You know you have done it right if you have the proper amount of stitches on needle 16 or 17 or 18...not sure if this is the proper way to do it as I am a newer knitter but it works. Great pattern so cute and fast project once you get the hang if it.
